This project included redesigning the project management system of a video production company. Before bringing the project management tools in-house, the company used a combination of Asana for project management, Box for asset storage, and Vimeo / email to send video drafts to clients. They decided to combine these workflows into a single tool where staff could communicate, projects could be managed, and clients could review video drafts at the end of the projects.
Various screens from the new web app are presented below. This tool included the following functionality.
- System-wide search
- Consolidated video asset storage at both the project and client level
- Redesigned system logic where projects flowed through set states
- Subtasks within projects
- Time tracking
- Receipt tracking
- Chat tools within a single project
- Video draft feedback / approval in client side of the application
- Project list views to better evaluate activity across all projects
- Cleaner aesthetic
